Presentation

Once you complete your media project, share it to your blog and answer the following questions in a 500 – 1,000 word post to reflect on and explain your work:

  1. Describe your focal topic, why you chose it, and how you went about learning more about this particular cause or organization.
  2. Explore how your analysis project informed your choices.  What particular literacies did you draw on and what literacies do people need in order to get your message?  How does your project work as a translatio of the issue or cause your chose? Be sure to draw from specific vocabularies and concepts we learned this semester.
  3. What did you learn about the affordances and constraints of the particular mode(s) and interface(s) you chose to work in? What problems did you encounter?  What was most fun or stressful?
  4. What audience do you think this project could reach?  Where could you circulate this and what do you hope readers think about or do in response to your research?

Use your answers to plan your 10 minute presentation during which you are required to address the following:

  • Show your media project to your class community.
  • Explain both your focal topic AND the process, purpose, and new audience of your final multi-media project. Share your passion and feel free to show your colleagues the work you produced leading up to your video project. Include the translatios you analyzed and help us see how the analysis informed your choices for this final project.
  • Reflect on the digital composing practice, what audiences and contexts we can reach through the mode and interfaces you explored, and what you might do with it in the future?
  • Include a 1-2 page handout (one copy is fine) covering your main points (use images if you can!)
  • You can share your work from your blog or create a digital presentation – it’s up to you!

Remember, this presentation should be treated kind of like a grant or client pitch; be casual but professional and be prepared to confidently present your smart and awesome work! 😀
