Locate and post at least one advertisement, gif, tweet, post, meme, or short viral video to help us think about socio-cultural, multimodal, and critical literacies.  Post it on your Commonplace Blog! Add a bit of context: briefly describe where you found the ad and what about it made you choose it.  Then practice using Perry’s and Faigley’s definitions of literacies (socio-cultural, multi, critical, material, visual) to explore what specific kinds of literacies you need in order to understand the “text”.  300 – 500 words OR 2 – 5 minute embedded video/audio.  😀
