LISTEN!!! No, really – just take an hour or so and pay close attention to each and every sound you hear. Keep a sound log/diary of the noises around you for this period of time. You can post this as a list, short descriptions, or even audio recordings if you like. We’ll use this sound diary to think about how noise works rhetorically, so make sure to post before class! 😀
